Le Studio Sacred Space, aka Sacred Space, aka Espace Sacrée, aka that one yoga studio in Mont-Tremblant with the crazy owners ... Whatever you call us, I thought it was maybe about time to put a little meaning behind our choice of name.
Have you ever felt at home somewhere, well that was not your physical home? Maybe it's on top of a mountain you just climbed, maybe it's in a little cafe in a city you never visted or it even may be just a feeling of being with certain people. Whatever it may be, your heart and soul are at ease and a feeling of happiness floods over you. Our family being the type of people that are sad when they get back from traveling. We learnt that home isn't necessarily materialistic but it is where you make it. It has some sort of sacredness to it.
So Sacred Space, a space that it sacred, it can be many different things depending on who you are. We created a space dedicated to what we thrive on, adventures-health-creativity, that we want to share with the community. What better emplacement is there than a Yoga Studio surronded by beautiful big gardens in the summer in the country.

First created in India 3000 years ago, mala beads have roots in Hinduism,Buddhism and yoga.
Mala beads are a set of beads that are used in prayer and meditation — often called prayer beads. They are a traditional tool used to count the number of times a mantra is recited whilst meditating. They either have 18, 27, 54 or 108 beads but most common is the 108 beads because they count as the 108 worldly sins in Buddhist doctrine. More popular theories is that some associate the possibility of enlightenment with taking only 108 breaths a day while in deep meditation. Others connect the number’s significance to the heart chakra, as there is said to be 108 energy lines leading to it, one of which is believed to be the path to self realization. Made with different gemstones that reflect different healing qualities , such as turquoise to increase love and destroy hatred, while lava is said to provide strength and clarity.
Mala beads can be used in a variety of ways to help you manifest and achieve your dreams and desires. Once you have set your specific intention with your malas, you can start using in your meditation practice to help keep you focused. You can also use them during your Yoga practice while wrapped around your wrist ( be carful that they don't break! ), or placed in one of the front corners of your mat so that you can have a focus point during more challenging asanas. Wearing them outside of Yoga and Meditation can also help you bring a sense of calm to your day to day life.
Picking a Mala specific to your intentions is very important. It has to inspire you and reflect your intentions. The lovely people at Mala Collective make amazingly beautiful Malas handmade in Bali with love. They have a large collection that you can choose from.
