You can do a lot of things by accident, like getting a flat tire on your car or breaking a lamp, but opening a yoga studio by accident seems pretty hard to do. Somehow though my family managed to do so. My mother ( who has a 200 hour Sivananda TTC and a 500 hour Vinyasa flow ) , the hardest working and kindest person I know but also probably the most Libra soul you will ever meet. Forever unable to make up her mind, this past year has been a whirlwind since we started building this studio. Our barn turned garage turned ceramic studio turned yoga studio is now open since May and is growing day by day offering new classes and opportunities to the people of the Laurentien area. It does not only offer yoga classes though! There is Jimbé jams, guided meditation, Qi gong … basically any kind of creative class that people want to offer to the region for physical and mental growth. It has taken almost two years to officially open and growth is a constant reality. Were we ready to open a Yoga studio ? Probably not. But when are you ever really ready to do something. So here is a little back story on the owners of the studio and the studio itself.
Namste and hope to meet you all soon at the studio!
Kate and Brian - The minds behind the studio
All though they are not officially married the two have been together for more than ten years. Both insanely creative souls that love the outdoors, from white sandy beach to the highest mountain tops. Brian built the studio from scratch ( with the help of many other amazing souls ) and works in construction in everyday life. Kate has worked as a Ski patrol at our local hill and in gardens for as long as she can remember. As mentioned she has two Yoga teacher trainings but has yet to feel ready to teach yet.
